The Music Foundation
The Dean writes:
Since 1993, our Music Foundation has financially supported the musical life of our Cathedral. The work of the Foundation ensures that the theological vision of Augustine is affirmed that, through the gift of music, we may come to experience something of the nature and beauty of God in our worship.
Our word to worship literally means, “giving God his worth”. For me this is a great motivation to ensure that the financial footing for our music program remains secure. This year, the Cathedral Music Foundation has made generous grants totalling $140,000 to support our musical life.
This significant sum is made available in the form of scholarships that directly benefit our organists, the Lay Clerks (men’s voices) and, most importantly, the musical and spiritual formation and education of our boy choristers. In order to sustain such a significant level of financial commitment, we fully rely on the support of friends of the Cathedral.
Please consider giving as generously as you can to ensure that we may continue to be able to enjoy glimpses of the beauty of holiness in our worship at St Paul’s through the gift of music and the arts. To contribute, pleease download a donation form here.
