Friends of St Paul’s
The Friends of St Paul's Cathedral were formed in 1932 by Archbishop Head; it is the second oldest "friends" organisation in the Anglican communion.
The Friends raise funds to assist with the maintenance and beautification of St Paul's Cathedral, while at the same time extending the Cathedral's circle of friends around Melbourne and further afield.
A wide variety of activities is organised throughout the year; members also assist with Cathedral Open days, host the annual Cathedral Dinner, and, together with the Anglican Historical Society, organise the annual Christmas party.
Over the most recent years money has been raised for a number of projects: robes for the choir, painting of the belfry; badges for the Stewards, Guides and other volunteers; notice boards; guide rails and many other small, useful and important items.
