Friends of St Paul’s
The Friends of St Paul's Cathedral were formed in 1932 by Archbishop Head; it is the second oldest "friends" organisation in the Anglican communion.
The objectives of the Society are:
a. To assist the Cathedral Chapter in any appropriate manner that may occur including, in particular, assistance towards the preservation of the fabric and the enhancement of the beauty of the Cathedral.
b. To provide fellowship and the opportunity for meeting together on a regular basis for all interested in the Cathedral and its activities.
The Friends raise funds to assist with the maintenance and beautification of St Paul's Cathedral, while at the same time extending the Cathedral's circle of friends around Melbourne and further afield.
A wide variety of activities is organised throughout the year. Over the most recent years money has been raised for a number of projects.
